At her apartment in Bengaluru on June 8, Parakala Vangamayi, the daughter of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, married Pratik Doshi. Exclusively close friends and family members attended the wedding ceremony, which was a private event. No political party officials received an invitation to the wedding, according to reports. The bride, Vangamayi, graduated from Northwestern Medill School of Journalism with a master's in journalism. She is presently employed by the features department of Mint Lounge's Books and Culture section. The bridegroom, Prateek Doshi, is from Gujarat and works as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), per a Business Today story. When Narendra Modi was elected prime minister for the first time in 2014, he entered the PMO. Doshi was hired as OSD in the PMO in 2019, which is the second year of Modi's tenure.
