Reliance Jio Launches Prepaid Mobile Plans Bundled With Netflix Subscription

Reliance Jio introduced a noteworthy offering on Friday, unveiling two prepaid mobile plans that come bundled with a Netflix subscription. This groundbreaking partnership marks a global first of its kind, positioning Jio as a trailblazer in innovative prepaid bundle collaborations with premium streaming services.
Kiran Thomas, the CEO of Jio Platforms, emphasized their dedication to delivering top-tier services to users. He stated that this latest move underscores their commitment to providing exceptional offerings. The inclusion of Netflix bundles within Jio's prepaid plans signifies the deepening strength of their partnership with global giants like Netflix.
While Netflix subscriptions were previously available on select Jio Postpaid and Jio Fiber plans, this initiative represents the maiden foray of a Netflix subscription into the realm of prepaid plans. With this development, the vast user base of over 400 million Jio prepaid customers gains the option of seamlessly accessing a Netflix subscription through specialized Jio Prepaid bundled plans.
According to Tony Zameczkowski, the Vice President of APAC Partnerships at Netflix, this collaboration is set to expand the reach of engaging Indian content and captivating global stories to more consumers. The availability of a Netflix subscription alongside Jio's prepaid offerings ensures a broader audience can enjoy the wealth of stories across genres.
Jio's new prepaid bundle scheme encompasses two plans priced at Rs. 1,099 and Rs. 1,499, both featuring an 84-day validity period and an included Netflix subscription. The Rs. 1,099 plan caters to Netflix's mobile subscription, coupled with unlimited 5G data or 2 GB 4G data per day, in addition to unlimited voice calls. Notably, Netflix mobile subscriptions usually cost Rs. 149 per month and permit content viewing solely on mobile devices.
On the higher tier, the Rs. 1,499 plan offers Netflix's basic package, allowing users to stream on either mobile or television simultaneously. This plan mirrors the benefits of the lower-priced version but provides a larger data allowance of 3GB of 4G data per day. Netflix's basic plan individually costs Rs. 199 per month in India.
For those seeking prepaid plans without the bundled Netflix subscription, Jio also offers options. The 2GB data plan, accompanied by unlimited voice calls and 84-day validity, is priced at Rs. 719. On the other hand, the same plan with 3GB of data is available starting at Rs. 999, providing flexibility to users based on their data requirements.
