Reliance Jio just launched their Jio AirFiber service across eight Indian cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune. It was introduced at the Reliance Industries' 46th Annual General Meeting last month. This wireless Internet solution offers 1Gbps speed, 550 digital TV channels, and access to over 16 OTT apps. It is a single device that can be plugged into the power source and will act as a Wi-Fi hotspot. The Jio AirFiber plans start at Rs. 599 and it promises to give users a world-class digital entertainment, broadband, and digital experience. Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio, said it will help millions of homes get access to quality services in education, health, surveillance, and smart homes.
Jio AirFiber 5G users will get access to more than 550 digital TV channels and free subscriptions to 16 OTT apps like Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema, SonyLIV, Voot Kids, Voot Select, and Zee5. It provides superfast Wi-Fi and Internet all over your home or business space, and multiple devices can be connected without slowing down your Internet speed, including smartphones, PCs, smart home IoT devices, tablets, smart TVs, and set-top boxes. Plus, Jio is offering a Wi-Fi router, a 4K smart set-top box, and a voice-activated remote at no extra cost to AirFiber customers.
Jio AirFiber has come out with six different plans, ranging from Rs. 599 to Rs. 3,999. The most basic plan offers unlimited data at 30Mbps, while the Rs. 899 and Rs. 1,199 plans give you unlimited data at 100Mbps. The Rs. 1,499 plan comes with 300Mbps data, and the Rs. 2,499 plan offers 500Mbps data. The most expensive plan is Rs. 3,999 and it gives you unlimited data at 1Gbps speed. All the plans come with a 6 or 12-month duration and come with free access to multiple OTT platforms, and access to over 550 digital channels.
